Highlights include the rarest and largest of all Boston Tea Party prints; the first state of Thornton, Morden and Lea's map of Carolina; Sayer and Bennett's rare broadside plan of the Battle of Bunker Hill; Captain James Cook's mammoth 12-sheet chart of the St. Lawrence River; the rare fourth state of the famous Fry-Jefferson map of Virginia; the 1828 White, Gallaher and White map of Texas and Mexico; a fine Spanish manuscript chart of the West Indies on vellum; the first state of Robert Baker's four-sheet wall map of Antigua; and an example of the earliest obtainable map to show America - the 1507 Ruysch world map. Also included are an excellent 1613 Mercator Hondius atlas in full original color illuminated with gold; a collabsible paper globe published in Munich; two printed versions of Cassini's famous planisphere; an important 18th century Japanese world map, and a fine selection of maps of parts of America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
