DESCRIPTION:

An extremely handsome county map of Oxfordshire, embellished with the insignia of each of Oxford's colleges along the sides with the dates of their founding. The map is from Blaeu’s atlas of England [1645 or later] which formed the fourth volume of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum and later the fifth volume of the Atlas Maior.
