DESCRIPTION:

This fine map of Mexico and the Southeast includes inset maps of Porto Bello, Havana, Cartagena, and Vera Cruz. Tobias Conrad Lotter was a prolific map publisher and the son-in-law of the famous German mapmaker Mattheus Seutter. In 1758 he inherited half of the copperplates from Seutter’s firm and set up an independent publishing house in Augsberg.
